If you’re interested in building a solid financial foundation for you and your family, you may try a variety of vehicles for saving and investing. A savings account can be a simple place to earn interest and create an emergency fund.
Comparing savings accounts online can be a fast way to find the account with the best interest rate and fewest fees.
Zions Bank Internet Savings Account, an FDIC-insured account, offers twenty-four-hour online access to your funds along with a nationwide network of surcharge-free ATMs. No monthly maintenance fees are charged for these accounts, which require an opening balance of $100. A minimum balance of $1,000 is required to earn the interest rate of 1.240% or 1.25% APY, which applies to all balances from $1,000 to $250,000 or more.
Interest is compounded daily and paid monthly. Savings account owners may make an unlimited number of withdrawals in person, by ATM, by mail, or by messenger. Internet, automatic, telephone, and pre-authorized transfers are limited to six withdrawals within a thirty-day period.
